VoluntaryPart time role:
This is your chance to help shape and support the strategic direction of an exceptionally dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of those whom they serve.
Oasis Community Housing responds to homelessness and disadvantage: providing housing, support and other specialised services. For more than 30 years the Oasis movement has been working across England and the world to transform communities so that everyone is included, belongs, and has what they need to fulfill their God-given potential.
The support OCH provides aims to develop life skills that will enable the young people we house to live successful, independent lives. Our projects operate in Gateshead and London, with plans for the expansion of our work across England. Board meetings are normally held at our Central Office in Gateshead, which is easily accessible from central Newcastle.
We are a charity with a Christian ethos and it is an Occupational Requirement that Trustees are committed Christians in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 Religion or Belief. We are looking to recruit Trustees to our small, but influential and dynamic, Board. Candidates should be passionate about our story, social housing and eradicating homelessness. We are interested in candidates with broad life and work experience, particularly in areas such as fundraising, public relations and the law.
