We are looking to recruit a part time NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety Officer, who has proven practical work experience gained in the H&S field. Working closely with the Housing Management Team the successful candidate will ensure the organisation, and all organisational activities are compliant with health and safety regulations and good practice, and lead the development, promotion and implementation of a H&S culture within Oasis Community Housing. They will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring H&S policies and processes, supporting staff with H&S queries and facilitating training in response to any identified H&S issues.
They will need a good knowledge of H&S legislation, plus the ability to interpret and apply it. Experience of delivering training, undertaking property fire risk assessments and investigating incidents, accidents, and recommending preventative measures is also essential. They also need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, have excellent report writing and IT skills and have a flexible attitude.
Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references, meeting essential criteria and Enhanced DBS (dependent on role).
